As Jedar ushers you into the Leader's office, you immediately recognize the distinguished, silver feathered drake behind the desk. Marshall's face light's with recognition, and he rises to greet you.
"Been quite a while since we've seen you around here." The older drake's voice has the same pleasant burr to it that you remember, and you realize with a slight shock that he must have taken over the leadership position from L'Orange. Marshall catches your expression and grins ruefully. "Aye. No rest for the wicked, I'm afraid, but I couldn'a very well let the place fall to pieces. I've been here too long to see the Brotherhood die out, and if I hadn'a claimed it, I'm certain someone else would have ... with possibly fatal consequences for everyone here."
"Marshall was the best choice to take over after Duke vanished during the war," Jedar tells you, his usually merry expression grim. "Wherever our old Leader is, he doesn't seem to be coming back, and we had to move on or die where we stood."
"Aye, though these days we're doing far better." Marshall seems optimistic. "You, and others like you are beginning to return, which is as hopeful a thing as I've seen lately. Nonetheless, I'm sure you have questions for me. Please, ask."
